After four years as a player at Wake Forest, Jennie Shelton enters her first as a volunteer coach in 2002. Shelton is third all-time at Wake Forest in goals (43) and points (106). She is a two-time NFHCA Division I South Region All-American and in 2001 was an NFHCA South Region senior All-Star. Also in 2001, she tied the NCAA Tournament record for goals in a game (4) and points in a game (9).

Shelton was an elementary education major at WFU and is currently working as a student-teacher at a local school. She will earn her degree from Wake Forest in December.
