Ann Arbor, Mich. - The Wake Forest field hockey team, behind junior All-American Kelly Dostal, won its second game of the season by defeating the Michigan Wolverines by a score of 4-2 on Monday afternoon.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first half on a Jill Civic goal, the Demon Deacons rallied for four consecutive goals in the second half, including three by Dostal. The Deacs got on the scoreboard in the 40th minute when Claire Laubach set up Dostal to tie the score at 1-1.

Freshman Kristi Harshman put the Deacons on top with her first collegiate goal 46:18 into the game. The Deacs continued the second half scoring seven minutes later when Dostal tallied her second goal of the half, this time unassisted. Dostal's final goal came at 59:40, on a Harshman assist, giving the Deacs their second victory of the ACC/Big 10 Challenge.

Wake Forest defeated Iowa on Sunday by a score of 1-0 in overtime on Sunday in the challenge which was hosted by Michigan.

Wake Forest will next host James Madison on this Sunday, September 7 at 1 pm at Kentner Stadium.
