WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will bolster its ranks with five new additions to the field hockey program for the 2014 season as announced by Head Coach Jennifer Averill.

The class will be spearheaded by Yale transfer Georgia Holland, a highly-decorated player who has consistently been among the top players in the Ivy League throughout her collegiate career. In addition, all five recruits have experience playing in the midfield, an area where the Demon Deacons will be seeking replacements for Holly Brown and Taylor Rhea.

Three of the five players have seen time with the junior national teams, including Karlee Spirit who captained the U17 National Team during its trip to the Netherlands last year.

The recruiting class will be joining a talented program that went 12-9 and earned a 3-2 NCAA Tournament victory over No. 6 Old Dominion at the end of the 2013 season.
