ACC Announces Fall Olympic Sport Broadcast Coverage

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Wake Forest will be featured at least nine times during the fall of 2012 as part of the Atlantic Coast Conference's fall Olympic sports broadcast coverage. The ACC announced the fall broadcast schedule on Friday morning.

The women's soccer team will be featured four times, the volleyball team will be featured three times and the men's soccer team will be featured twice. The field hockey team will also be televised at least one in the ACC Field Hockey Championship.

The Wake Forest women's soccer team's ACC opener on the road at Miami on Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. will be broadcast on ESPN3, along with their conference finale at perennial powerhouse North Carolina Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. RSN will broadcast the Deacons' match against last year's ACC regular season champion Duke on Oct. 14 at 1 p.m., and the ACC Digital Network on YouTube will show the Deacs' contest with Virginia on Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.

The volleyball team will head to Miami on Sept. 30 to play the Hurricanes, as the match will be show on ESPN3 at 1 p.m. Late in October, the Deacs will host a pair of TV games, including the Dig for the Cure match against NC State at 7 p.m. on Oct. 26 and two days later against North Carolina at 1 p.m. on Oct. 28. The match against the Wolfpack will be shown on ESPN3, while the Deacs and Tar Heels will face off on RSN.

The men's soccer team's first televised game will be at home against Boston College at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 on RSN. The Demon Deacons will then host Maryland on ESPN3 at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1.

In addition to the nine regular season contests that will feature Wake Forest, the entire ACC Field Hockey Championship and the semifinals and finals of both the Men's and Women's Soccer ACC Championships will be televised as well.

For field hockey, theACC.com will broadcast the two quarterfinal games, while RSN will cover the semifinals and finals. For both soccer championships, ESPN3 will cover the semifinals with the championship games being shown on ESPNU.
