Winston-Salem, N.C. - The No. 1 Wake Forest field hockey team will close out the regular season with a pair of games against Northwestern and Boston College, Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30, respectively. Entering the games with a 16-0 record and a 4-0 conference mark, the Demon Deacons hope to close the regular season with their first perfect record in school history.

The Deacs will first face Big Ten members Northwestern, on Saturday. Wake Forest has already swept through the majority of the Big Ten with victories over Iowa, Michigan State, Michigan and Indiana. In those games, the Deacs outscored their opponents, 10-3.

A victory against Boston College on Sunday would solidify the Demon Deacons perfect ACC record. Having already clinched the regular season title last week against Virginia, the game against the Eagles will be the last before the tournament begins on Thursday, Nov. 4. Official seeding for the tournament will be announced on Monday, Oct. 31.

Tip off for both games this weekend is set for 1 p.m.
