College Park, Md. -- - The No. 1 Wake Forest field hockey team look to win its third ACC championship title in the last four years, as the Demon Deacons face No. 2 Maryland in the ACC tournament finals, Sunday, Nov. 6 at 12 p.m. The game will be televised regionally on Fox Sports South.

The Demon Deacons advanced after a 2-1 victory over North Carolina Friday night in semifinal action. Against the Heels, Wake Forest outshot North Carolina, 24 to 5 and junior Lauren Crandall scored both goals, including the game winner in overtime.

The meeting between the Deacs and the Terps will be the second of the season. Earlier in the year, the two teams met in College Park and the Deacs emerged victorious after a triple-overtime game that was extended into strokes.
