CHANDLER, Ariz. – Wake Forest field hockey’s Jule Grashoff was named to the Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-American Second Team, the organization announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Grashoff, a junior from Germany, tied for the ACC lead with 14 assists and tied for third in the league with 16 goals. She also ranked third in the conference with 46 points.

This marks the eighth consecutive year that Wake Forest has had a player named to one of the three All-American teams. Nicola Pluta made third team All-American last season.

The award is Grashoff’s first All-American honor as a Demon Deacon. Last week, she was named to the NFHCA All-South Region team in addition to earning a spot on the All-ACC First Team.

Grashoff delivered three game-winning goals for the Deacs this season. Her 16 goals and 14 assists are personal-bests in her three seasons at Wake Forest. She also needs just five more points to pass Tracy Stickney and move into fifth in team history.

The Demon Deacons concluded their 2017 season with a 12-8 overall record. The team fell, 2-0, to eventual NCAA runner-up Maryland in the NCAA Championship First Round.
