Three Former Women's Golfers Advance to Final Stage of Q-School for LPGA Tour

A trio of former Wake Forest women's golfers have advanced to the final stage of qualifying school for the LPGA Tour.

2008-09 Tournament Results

Spring 2008
Competed in seven events... Named All-ACC for the second time in her career after boasting the second-best stroke average for Wake Forest and the ninth-best in the ACC at 74.8 per 18 holes... Recorded her best NCAA Championship finish, tying for 13th after posting a 67-78-76-73=294 (+6)... Her 67 in the first round of the NCAA Championship on the University of New Mexico Championship Course tied the course record and stands as the single best postseason round in program history... Led the NCAA Championship heading into the second round... Tied for ninth at the SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational after carding a 75-73-70=218 (+8)... Tied for fifth at the Bryan Park National Collegiate after posting a 77-73-74=224 (+8)... Tied for 17th at the ACC Championship after shooting a 76-75-74=225 (+9)... Ended the 2007-08 season with two top five finishes, three top 10 finishes and five top 20 finishes... Recorded the top two rounds of the season for the Deacons, a 66 in the second round of the Landfall Tradition and a 67 in the first round of the NCAA Championship... Her 66 in the fall ties for the single lowest round in program history, which Hill posted originally in the 2007 NCAA East Regional... Led the Deacons in three events on the season.

Fall 2007
Competed in four events... Shot 73-80-73=226 (+10) to finish tied for 52nd at the Mason Rudolph Championship... Shot 79-79-76=231 (+12) to finish tied for 64th at the NCAA Fall Preview... Shot 72-79-72=223 (+7) to finish tied for 28th at the Lady Tar Heel Invitational... Shot 75-66-76=217 (+1) to win the Landfall Tradition and lead the Demon Deacons to their first tournament title since 2004... Won her first career individual title at the Landfall Tradition... Named co-captain of the team.

Spring 2007
Capped a sophomore season by breaking several team and individual records at the NCAA East Regional... Turned in a record performance shooting an 18-hole program record 66 on the opening day... Six-under par also set a career low-round score, surpassing her previous career low of 69... Broke the individual 18-hole score record of 67, which was first set in 1985... Finished eighth overall at the East Regional with a five-under 211 (66-70-75), marking a new individual 54-hole score and also broke the 54-hole individual program record of 212 which was set in 1985 by Brenda Corrie... Helped lead the Deacs to two second-place team records - 18 hole score of 284 and a 54-hole score of 858... Only returning player to play in all 11 events... Finished in the top 20 at the Bryan National Collegiate shooting a 79-76-72 for a 11-over 227... Ranked third on the team with a stroke average of 75.9... Had 79.4 percent of rounds counted and had six rounds equal or under par.

Fall 2006
Competed in all five events... Totaled a 75.8 stroke average and had 83.3 percent of her rounds counted... Shot 77-72-73=219 (+6) at the Mason Rudolph to finish tied for 30th overall... Finished tied for 29th overall at the Fall Preview, shooting 76-72-76=224 (+8)... Shot a career-low 69 in the third round of the Lady Tar Heel, en route to a tie for 28th... Finished third on the team and tied for 25th overall at the Landfall Tradition, shooting 74-80-80=234 (+18).

Summer 2006
Qualified for match play at the Trans National, shooting 67 to qualify second... Advanced to the quarterfinals of match play... Qualified for match play at the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.

Competed in all 11 events... Finished second on the team in stroke average (74.6) and percentage of rounds counted (88.7)... Tied for first on the team and 43rd overall at the NCAA Championship with a 76-76-74-76 (+14)... Came in t-30th at the ACC Championship, shooting a 80-78-78=236 (+20)... Shot a 228 (+12) and placed in a tie for 42nd at the Cougar Classic... Closed the tournament with an even par round, 72... Placed in a tie for 35th at the Mason Rudolph... Shot rounds of 72-79-78=229 (+13)... Placed in a tie for eighth at the Tar Heel Invite, shooting 71-74-74=219 (+3)... Tied for fourth at the Landfall Tradition with 78-73-70=221 (+5)... Her third-round 70 was her low round of the year.

Summer 2005
Competed at the U.S. Women's Amateur... Reached the round of 16... Placed fifth at the Eastern Amateur after firing rounds of 74-76-75=225... Reached the championship bracket of the Women's Trans Amateur.

Member of the 2005 East Cannon Cup Team... Named a 2004 AJGA Rolex second team All-American... Named honorable mention All-American in 2003... 2005 EA Sports All-American...
