Kristinsdottir's 74 Leads Deacs On Day 2 Of Northrop Grumman

PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Wake Forest junior Olafia Kristinsdottir carded a 3-over 74 on Tuesday to pace the women's golf team in the second round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif.
As a team, the Demon Deacons carded a round of 308 and are tied for 12th in the 16-team field at 46-over par.
Kristinsdottir made three birdies and six bogeys in her round on Tuesday. She is currently in a tie for 30th at 8-over par.
Sophomore Marissa Dodd made two birdies and finished with a 77 in round two while Mariana Sims carded seven bogeys and 11 pars in her round of 78. Dodd will start the final round tied for 42nd and Sims is tied for 54th.
Top-ranked Southern Cal carded the first under-par round of the tournament, a 4-under 280, and surged to the 36-hole lead at 10-over par. First round leader UCLA is second at 11-over and Duke is third at 17-over par.
Individually, Duke's Alejandra Cangrejo continues to lead after her second-straight round of 1-under 70. She remains the only player in the field under-par and holds a three-shot lead on a trio of players.
The final round is set to begin with an 11 a.m. ET shotgun start. Golfstat.com will have live scoring of the final round.
