PALOS VERDES, Calif. -- The Wake Forest women's golf team concluded its first event of the spring with the third round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge Tuesday at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. The Demon Deacons shot a 16-over during round three, their best round of the event, to move up to 14th place at 59-over.

Three Demon Deacons tied for the team's low round of the day as Jennifer Kupcho, Emilia Migliaccio and Siyun Liu all shot a 2-over 73 on Tuesday. Kupcho finished T-11th at 6-over, while Migliaccio finished at 9-over and Liu at 15-over.

Mai Dechathipat shot a final round 81 to finish at 29-over, while Monica Schumacher shot 86 to finish at 39-over.

"We played better today and it was nice to end on a good note," said head coach Dianne Dailey. "However, we have some work to do before our next event at Hilton Head."

The Demon Deacons return to action March 2-4 with the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, S.C.
