GREENVILLE, S.C. - Freshman Jennifer Kupcho finished eighth to lead he Wake Forest University women's golf team at the Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman Golf Club on Tuesday.

Kupcho carded rounds of 71-73-75 to finish 3-over in eighth place in her second collegiate event. As a team Wake Forest tied for fourth with a team score of 885 (292-288-305). The Demon Deacons tied with ACC rival Clemson. Missouri won the Lady Paladin Invite with Furman coming in second and New Mexico taking third. Wake Forest finished just ahead of two more ACC teams with North Carolina and Virginia Tech finishing sixth and seventh, respectively.

Junior Sierra Sims and sophomore Erica Herr tied for 14th with matching scores of 6-over 222. Sims turned in rounds of 75-69-78 for the weekend. Herr had the Deacs low round on Tuesday with a 1-over 73 after opening rounds of 71 and 78.

Freshman Antonia Eberhard was 9-over par for the tournament with rounds of 75-71-79. Senior Mariana Sims finished up with an 80 on Tuesday for the Demon Deacons.

Sophomore Vinh-Hop Ngo competed as an individual and finished with rounds of 77-77-80.

Wake Forest will next compete at the Lady Tar Heel Invitational Oct. 9-11 at the Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill.
