ORMAND BEACH, Fla. – The Wake Forest freshman Emilia Migliaccio captured the title at the 2018 Women’s South Atlantic Amateur Golf Championship, one of the nation’s most prestigious amateur tournaments. Migliaccio shot 65-72-74 to finish at 5-under and post a one-shot victory over Anna Redding of Virginia.

“The SALLY”, which has been played at Oceanside Country Club since 1926, annually fields one of the strongest fields in women’s amateur golf. Migliaccio was the wire-to-wire winner, leading after each of the three rounds.

Wake Forest will return to action in February when it opens the spring season at the Northrop-Grumman Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif.
