Kupcho Honored as a Colorado Sportswoman of the Year

DENVER, Colo. -- Wake Forest freshman women's golfer Jennifer Kupcho will be honored in March during the annual Sportswomen of Colorado celebration. The ceremony, held March 13 in Denver, will honor 45 of Colorado's top female athletes and contributors to women's athletics , based on their achievements in 2015.

Kupcho will be the high school golfer honored at the ceremony. A standout at Jefferson Academy, the Littleton Colo., was the 2014 and 2015 Colorado Women’s Golf Association Player of the Year. In 2015 she claimed the CWGA Stroke Play Championship by 21 shots at Pinehurst Country Club and won the 4A girls state high school title by 10 strokes. She advanced to the final 16 at the U.S. Women's Amateur and the Women's Western National Amateur Championship.

The highlight of the event will be the surprise presentation of the Sportswoman of the Year Award to the Colorado's most outstanding athlete on the basis of her 2015 achievements.
