Wake Forest Tournament History:
This will be the Demon Deacons' eighth-straight season opening the spring at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.
The best finish in the previous six appearances came in 2009 when three individual top-20 finishes propelled Wake to a runner-up finish.
Individually, senior Natalie Sheary won the event as a freshman in 2008 after rounds of 72-71-72. The win was the first of her career and is the only Demon Deacon individual title.
Last season, the Demon Deacons finished 15th and were led by senior Cheyenne Woods who finished tied for 35th.
Wake Forest Notes:
The Deacons finished tied for seventh in the final event of the fall at the Landfall Tradition.
Sophomore Allison Emrey notched the first career top-5 as she fired a 1-under 71 in the rain-shortened event.
That was also Emrey's first under-par round of her career.
Junior Olafia Kristinsdottir notched the second top-5 finish of her career by finishing tied for fourth at the Mason Rudolph Challenge.
Kristinsdottir leads the team with a 75.4 average.
Sophomore Emily Wright opened the Cougar Classic with a career-low round of 72.
Freshman Mariana Sims played in all four tournaments in the fall.
