The Deacs' top finish was a sixth-place showing in their first appearance in 2001.
In all, Wake Forest has had four individuals finish in the top-10, led by Michele Shin's runner-up finish in 2010.
Shin fired a Wake Forest record 7-under 65 in the opening round and finished the event in a school-record 10-under par.
Wake Forest Notes:
The Demon Deacons opened the season with a 17th place finish in the 24-team field at the Cougar Classic.
Sophomore Allison Emrey led the way with three solid rounds of 74-73-74.
Junior Olafia Kristinsdottir is the only Demon Deacon to have played the Vanderbilt Legends Club. She finished tied for 51st after rounds of 73-74-78 as a freshman in 2010.
Kristinsdottir will be off to Turkey right after the event to represent Iceland in the Women's Amateur World Team Championship.
Sophomore Emily Wright is playing in her second-straight tournament. She opened the Cougar Classic with a career-low round of 72.
Freshman Mariana Sims made her Demon Deacon debut at the Cougar Classic and is back in the lineup again this week.
