Wake Forest Tournament History
Wake Forest has played in the Tar Heel Invitational in every year but two since its inception in 1983.
Wake has won the team title four times and has recorded a total of 13 top-5 finishes.
Natalie Sheary and Jean Chua shared medalist honors in 2009.
Cheyenne Woods shot three under-par rounds at the event last year.
Wake Forest Notes
After opening the season with a 17th place finish, the Demon Deacons finished 6th at the Mason Rudolph Challenge last month.
Junior Olafia Kristinsdottir notched the second top-5 finish of her career by finishing tied for fourth at the Mason Rudolph Challenge.
Kristinsdottir leads the team with a 75.0 average.
Sophomore Emily Wright is playing in her second-straight tournament. She opened the Cougar Classic with a career-low round of 72.
Freshman Mariana Sims has played in each of the first two tournaments and has a scoring average of 78.2.
Junior Michelle Hartenstein is playing as an individual this week. This is her first tournament since she played as an individual at the Bryan National Collegiate last April.
