BLACKSBURG, Va. - Junior goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe made four saves to post the 18th shutout of her career, tying the Wake Forest career record, as the No. 3 Demon Deacons tied UNC Wilmington 0-0 in rainy conditions Sunday in Blacksburg, Va. as part of the Hilton Garden Hokie Invitational.

Bledsoe tied Erin Regan, who also kept 18 clean sheets for the Demon Deacons from 1998-2002, for first place on the school shutout charts. Matching Bledsoe's impressive day in net was her Seahawk counterpart Caitlin Hunter, who made 10 saves to help the Seahawks secure a result.

Wake Forest (1-0-1) outshot UNCW (0-1-1) 15-5 led by Marisa Park's career-high five shots, but were unable to push a goal across.

The Deacons had an opportunity to take the lead in the 36th minute when Riley Ridgik headed a Rachel Nuzzolese corner kick off of the post.

Wake Forest brought pressure in the last 15 minutes of regulation, taking four shots and earning three corner kicks, but Hunter made three saves to send the game to overtime.

The Deacs had two chances to earn the win in the second overtime. Jackie Logue headed a shot on frame in the 103rd minute that was stopped by Hunter, and Ridgik headed a Nuzzolese corner kick high in the 109th minute.

The Demon Deacons will play their first home match of the season on Friday when they host UNC Greensboro at 7 p.m. at Spry Stadium.
