WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- A late goal cost the Wake Forest women's soccer team in a 1-0 loss to No. 11 Notre Dame at Spry Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Deadlocked at 0-0, Notre Dame's (11-2-4, 6-1-2 ACC) Megan McCashland had a one-touch goal in front of the net off a cross from Kaleigh Olmsted with less than two-and-a-half minutes remaining in regulation.

The Demon Deacons (10-7-0, 2-7-0 ACC) kept pushing forward and earned a corner, but were unable to get a shot off.

The teams were tied at 7-7 in shots until the Fighting Irish's game-winner. Bayley Feist took five of Wake Forest's seven shots, with four of them on target.

Kaela Little made four saves to earn the shutout for Notre Dame, while Lindsay Preston tallied three saves in the losing effort.
