GREENSBORO, N.C. – A pair of Demon Deacon captains, senior Sarah Teegarden and junior Maddie Huster, were named to the ACC All-Academic Team on Tuesday morning.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team. The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.

Teegarden, a communication major, earns the honor for the first time. She started all 18 games in 2016, as well as every game of her career. She finished the season with seven points on three goals and an assist, and was also named second team All-ACC and All-Southeast Region.

Huster, a health & exercise science major, led the Demon Deacons in points (14) and assists (4), also finishing second with five goals. The two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree gains the recognition for the second-straight year.
