WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - After finishing one of the most successful seasons in program history during 2009, the Wake Forest women’s soccer team will look to build on that success this spring against a very difficult schedule, which was released on Monday. The Deacs open the spring slate on March 28 with a 1 p.m. game against Big Ten foe Minnesota at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. Wake Forest will then take part in the ACC Spring Tournament, held at BB&T Soccer Field in Winston-Salem on April 10. The schedule closes with games on April 17 and 18. Wake will travel to Blacksburg, Va., on the 17th for a tournament at Virginia Tech, before returning to Spry Stadium on the 18th to host Charlotte at 4 p.m. Wake Forest tied the school record for wins in a season with 2009, finishing the year with a 16-6-2 record. The Demon Deacons also enjoyed their most successful postseason, advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. Wake Forest returns 17 letterwinners and four starters from the 2009 squad, including All-ACC Freshman team selection Jackie Logue and Bianca D’Agostino, who has seen significant time with the U.S. Youth National Teams. 2010 Wake Forest Spring Schedule
