By Alex Botoman, Wake Forest Athletic Communications (@SIDeacons) RIFU, Japan - Wake Forest's Katie Stengel started and played the full 90 minutes for the United States Under-20 National Team in its final Group D match against Germany in the FIFA U-20 World Cup at Miyagi Stadium in Rifu, Japan Monday. The Americans fell 3-0 to the defending-champion Germans but still advanced to the quarterfinals where they will face North Korea in Saitama on Aug. 31 at 2:55 a.m. EDT on ESPNU. Stengel had one of the best scoring chances for the Americans in the 40th minute when she ran onto a through ball at the right side of the box but put a shot just wide from a difficult angle. The junior All-American played in all three group stage games for the U.S., coming off the bench as a substitute against Ghana and China. - U.S. Under-20 Women's National Team Match Report - Match: United States U-20 Women's National Team vs. Germany Scoring Summary: 1 2 F Lineups:
