Wake Forest and Maryland to play for First Place Sunday

  • Fresh off of a win over No. 4 Boston College, No. 13 Wake Forest will Maryland on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Spry Stadium in a match of the top two teams in the ACC standings

No. 5 Deacons Play to Thrilling Scoreless Draw with No. 17 Terps
Goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe earned her ninth shutout of the season, tying the Wake Forest single-season record, as No. 5 Wake Forest and No. 17 Maryland combined for 34 shot, but none of them found the back on the net leaving the game to finish in a 0-0 double overtime draw at Ludwig Field in College Park, Md. Saturday.

  • Maryland has been the biggest surprise of the early ACC season, occupying first place in the league standings after being picked to finish seventh in the preseason poll.
