No. 5 Deacons Play to Thrilling Scoreless Draw with No. 17 Terps
Goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe earned her ninth shutout of the season, tying the Wake Forest single-season record, as No. 5 Wake Forest and No. 17 Maryland combined for 34 shot, but none of them found the back on the net leaving the game to finish in a 0-0 double overtime draw at Ludwig Field in College Park, Md. Saturday.
Maryland has been the biggest surprise of the early ACC season, occupying first place in the league standings after being picked to finish seventh in the preseason poll.
The Terrapins have posted impressive results, defeating North Carolina in their ACC opener and tying Duke on the road in Durham.
Redshirt senior Becky Kaplan has led the Terrapins with eight goals and 19 points this season.
