WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest women's soccer has earned an at-large bid to the 2017 NCAA Women's Soccer Championship and will host Georgetown in the first round of play on Friday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. at Spry Stadium.

The Demon Deacons are making their 19th appearance in the tournament and their first since 2013, when they advanced to the third round of competition.

Tickets will be $8 for adults, $5 for youth and seniors (55+) and $1 for college students with a student ID. A ticket will be required to sit on the Walt Chyzowych Alumni Hill. Tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7 and can be purchased online, by calling the Wake Forest ticket office at (336) 758-3322 or at the Spry Stadium box office on the day of the game.

The Deacons are coming off a quarterfinal appearance in the ACC Championship and finished with an 11-5-3 record, including a 5-3-2 mark in conference play, their best records since 2013. Wake Forest is also 12-2-0 all-time in NCAA Championship games held at Spry Stadium.

Georgetown is an automatic qualifier after defeating Butler, 3-0, to win the Big East Championship. The Deacs will be playing the Hoyas for the second time in program history, as the two teams last met on Sept. 7, 2014 in Blacksburg, Virginia for the Virginia Tech Tournament. The Demon Deacons won that contest, 2-0.

The winner of Friday's match will play the winner of the opening round match between Penn State and Stony Brook at a site to be determined.
