Katie Stengel was named to Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest junior Katie Stengel was named to Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week after scoring two goals, including the game-winner, to help the Demon Deacons to a 4-0 win over Georgia Southern in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Championship Saturday.

Stengel netted the opening goal in the 60th minute off of an assist by Marisa Park and tacked on an insurance score in the 79th minute that was assisted by Kristen Meier.

Wake Forest's career leader in goals and points, Stengel ranks first on the team this season with nine goals and 21 points coming in only 14 games.

The Demon Deacons will take on Notre Dame in the second round of the tournament on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in Gainesville, Fla. Live video of the match will be available on GatorZone.com
