WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The 14th-ranked Wake Forest women's soccer team will face No. 4 North Carolina in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, November 27. Start time at Fetzer Field is scheduled for 2 p.m. (ET).

The Demon Deacons are in the quarterfinal round for the first time in program history. The Deacs recorded a dramatic 1-0 win over South Carolina Friday night on Bess Harrington's header goal in the final second of regulation.

North Carolina moved to the quarterfinals with a 1-0 victory against Maryland on Saturday. Casey Nogueira scored the only goal of the match in the 82nd minute to lift the Tar Heels to the win.

Wake Forest and North Carolina have already met once this season with UNC claiming a 4-0 victory. UNC leads the all-time series against the Demon Deacons 23-1-0.
