Went 7-4 in singles, playing in four tournaments ... all of her wins came in straight sets ... won three matches at the William & Mary Invitational ... advanced to the semis of the “B” draw at the Wake Forest Invite ... advanced to the third round of the ITA Southeast Regional before falling to 20th-ranked Carmina Giraldo of Clemson ... played doubles with Maren Haus, posting a 4-2 record ... won the “B’ consolation draw at the WFU Invitational ... advanced to the second round of the ITA Southeast Regional.
1999-2000
Posted a record of 26-7 overall and a 4-2 mark against ACC competition ... was ranked 94th by the ITA before entering NCAA Tournament competition ... won 13 of her last 15 matches ... was 5-1 against ranked opponents last season ... played mainly at the No. 5 seed singles, with occasional starts at No. 4.
1998-99
Played mostly at the fourth position, but saw some action at the second position … won 22 matches as a sophomore.
1997-98
ACC runner-up at No. 6 singles with a 5-1 mark in league play … finished the season with an overall record of 18-15 … won two matches in the NCAA Tournament.
Prior to WFU
State champion in both track and tennis … named the North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s (NCHSAA) Female Athlete of the Year in 1997 … finished her high school career with a record of 81-0, losing just four sets during that span … won four individual NCHSAA state championships – one of just 25 females nationally to accomplish that feat – and the first to do so in North Carolina’s 3A division … captured her fourth state championship as a senior by winning four matches in a combined two hours and 30 minutes … won three North Carolina 3A 400m championships … ran the fastest time in the state in the 400m as a senior (57.4) … Southwestern 3A champion in both the 400m and 3200m events.
