WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Playing in their second match in as many days, the Wake Forest women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Indiana on Sunday afternoon at the Indoor Tennis Center. Once again, Wake Forest was shorthanded on the amount of players they had available to play in the match. Sophomore Ryann Cutillo and freshman Kathryn Talbert remained sidelined with injuries, thereby leaving the Demon Deacons with only five healthy players. Wake Forest automatically forfeited the number three doubles match and the number six singles match as a result of these injuries. Junior Emilee Malvehy was the first to finish her singles play on the day, as she took down Indiana's Evgeniya Vertesheva by a score of 6-4, 6-3, improving to 2-0 in this weekend's singles action. Senior standout Sasha Kulikova followed close behind with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) win over freshman Leslie Hureau. Wake Forest will take next weekend off before returning to the courts on Saturday, February 20th for a match-up against Furman in Winston-Salem. Indiana 5, Wake Forest 2 Doubles
