WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Wake Forest women’s tennis team has earned national recognition, as the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released their top-25 polls on Wednesday afternoon.

The Demon Deacons come in at No. 16 in the USTA’s first poll of the season. The Deacs sit at No. 21 in the ITA rankings. The No. 16 ranking is the highest they have been ranked in any national poll since a No. 14 ranking on March 22, 2016.

Wake Forest is off to a 4-0 start to the season after defeating No. 18 Arkansas and No. 14 Ohio State at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Columbus, Ohio.

Up next, the Deacs will compete in the ITA National Indoor Championships, held from Feb. 9-12 in Madison, Wis.
