Deacs Close Out Regular Season
• The Demon Deacons are set to close out the regular season at home against Syracuse and Boston College this Friday, April 21, and Sunday, April 23, respectively. First serve is set for 4 p.m. on Friday and 12 p.m. on Sunday.
• Last season, the Deacs traveled to Syracuse where they fell to the Orange 4-3. Wake Forest has not lost at home against Syracuse since 1984.
• During the 2016 season, Wake Forest topped the Eagles 6-1 in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Last Time Out
• Wake Forest traveled to Durham, N.C. to take on No. 14 Duke before returning home to play host to No. 3 North Carolina. In Durham, the Deacs fell by a 4-2 margin. Kimmy Guerin and Emma Davis both earned victories in singles.
• The Demon Deacons were unable to rebound to defeat No. 3 North Carolina. North Carolina went on to win the match 7-0.

Senior Day
• On Sunday, April 23 against Boston College, Samantha Asch, Luisa Fernandez and Kimmy Guerin will all be recognized in a senior day ceremony prior to the match.
• Asch, Fernandez and Guerin will all finish their careers at Wake Forest in the winning column. The career singles records for Asch, Fernandez and Guerin are as follows: 73-53, 73-53 and 81-62. The career doubles records for Asch, Fernandez and Guerin repectively are: 61-44, 60-50 and 73-50.

Deacs in the Rankings
• The ITA released its updated rankings on April 18. The Deacs slipped to the No. 30 spot after two losses to then-No. 14 Duke and No. 3 North Carolina.
Kimmy Guerin is ranked the No. 57 player in the nation by the ITA. She opened the season ranked No. 33 in the country, the highest ranked Deacon since Martina Pavelec was No. 24 on March 29, 2011.
Emma Davis rejoins the rankings as she claims the No. 93 spot after a 6-4, 6-1 victory over then-No.33 Meible Chi of Duke.
• For the first time this season, the duo of Guerin and Anna Ulyashchenko enter the doubles ranking claiming the No. 54 spot.

The Captains
• Wake Forest’s three seniors - Samantha Asch, Luisa Fernandez and Kimmy Guerin - are serving as the team captains in 2017.

Up Next
• Wake Forest will head to Rome, Ga. to participate in the ACC Tournament. The first round of action starts on Wednesday, April 26 and conclude on Sunday, April 30.
