GREENSBORO, N.C. - Graduated senior Christian Tara and rising senior Sasha Kulikova earned spots on the 2009 All-ACC Women's Tennis Academic Team.

Honorees were selected based on both athletic and academic performances during the 2009 spring semester.

Sasha Kulikova, a mathematical economics major, led the Deacons at the top of the lineup, finishing with an 11-13 record including five wins over ranked opponents. Christian Tara, who graduated in May with a degree in mathematics, played predominately at the No. 4 singles slot, finishing 11-8.

The Deacons will begin play for the 2009-10 season on September 25 when they host the Wake Forest Fall Invitational.
