WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest women’s tennis coach Jeff Wyshner announced that senior Courtney Meredith has been chosen as the team’s captain for the upcoming 2018 season.

“I am very proud to announce Courtney as this year’s captain,” Wyshner said. “She has been an exemplary team member for the past three plus years, always bringing a commitment to the team and her teammates. She has already been a leader in multiple ways and many situations, and I think she will do a great job handling the additional responsibility of leading not just in example, but in title as well.”

Over her three spring seasons at Wake Forest, Meredith has appeared in 26 doubles matches and 17 singles matches. Last spring, Meredith delivered a 9-4 record at the No. 3 doubles slot while also winning three singles matches.

The Demon Deacons begin their 2018 season on Jan. 20 with a home match against Furman.
