WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest track and field teams finished up the Hilton Garden Invitational on Saturday in the JDL Fast Track.
Jake Graham was among the top finishers in the second day of competition as he topped his previous best performance in the 3000m run with a time of 8:38.86, securing the third place finish.
Tylor Harris had a strong performance in the shot put, finishing in second place with a throw of 16.27m.
In the 800m run, Michael McEnany and Kyle Eager both set personal records. McEnany finished in fourth place with a time of 1:54.99, while Eager's time of 1:55.02 gave him the fifth place finish.
In the 3000m run, Kaitlyn Oliver crossed the finish line in fourth place with a time of 10:01.67, topping her previous best record. Her teammate Samantha Jones competed in the event for the first time, and she secured a sixth place finish with a time of 10:04.05, while Kathleen Darling finished at 10:07.54, giving her the seventh place finish.
Nyki Caldwell took third in the high jump (1.68m), while Erin Brooks came in fifth place in the long jump with a leap of 5.56m.
Women's 800 Meter Run
Brianna Dekine took eighth with a time of 2:19.97 followed by Caitlin Hartnett who finished in 11th place at 2:20.87. Natalie Sukramani finished with a time of 2:26.81, while Kendal Knous came in at 2:27.39.
Women's 200 Meter Dash
Mytoia Gathings finished in eighth place with a time of 25.45.
Women's One Mile
Aubrey Waggoner highlighted the event for Wake Forest and finished in 11th place with a time of 5:09.25. Lindsay Kerr finished at 5:52.45.
Men's 3000 Meter Run
Behind Graham, Nate Guthals finished in 10th place with a time of 8:45.18, while Connor Crowley crossed the finish line in 13th place at 8:51.38. Brian O'Toole competed for the first time in the event and finished in 19th place at 8:56.43.
Men's 200 Meter Dash
Wake Forest junior Malcolm Nunley finished in 35th place with a time of 23.19.
Men's Shot Put
Behind Harris, Steve Michaelsen finished in throw of 15.41m secured him sixth place.
Men's High Jump
Freshman Michael Rufrano finished seventh in the high jump with a leap of 1.93m.
Men's One Mile
Alexander Rose also recorded his fastest mile time, coming in at 4:09.65 for eighth place.
Next weekend, Wake Forest track and field will head to Blacksburg, Va. for the Virginia Tech Elite Meet.
