CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Each of Wake Forest's women's relay squads posted top-10 finishes at the University of Virginia's Lannigan Field on Saturday afternoon during the final day of the 2012 ACC Outdoor Championships.

The 4x100m team of Anneve Waithe, Myesha Barr, Montasia Golden and Mytoia Gathings battled their way to a seventh-place finish with a time of 46.69, a slightly better time than the team posted three weeks ago at the Winston-Salem State Invitational and the best time by any squad in the event this season.

Gathings and Barr pulled double duty in the relays, pairing with Brianna Dekine and Molly Binder in the 4x400m event and posting a ninth-place run. Their time of 3:49.47 was by far the best of any Wake Forest combination in the event this year, besting their closest competitors by more than seven seconds.

The women's team finished 12th overall in the final standings with 14 points. Clemson dominated the final day of competition and earned 143 of their 180 total points during Saturday's events to emerge as the champions. Host Virginia took second with 100 points and Florida State earned third place with 75.

The Deacs are currently scheduled to be back in action beginning next Friday at the Highlander Invitational in Radford, Va., at the Patrick D. Cupp Memorial Stadium.
