HOUSTON, Texas - Wake Forest struggled to produce much offense, hitting just .025 for the match, in a three-game sweep at the hands of Stephen F. Austin in the University of Houston Tournament Saturday afternoon at the Athletics/Alumni Center. The Ladyjacks defeated the Demon Deacons 30-28, 30-21, 30-14.

Wake Forest drops to 3-5 on the year, while SFA improves to 7-5.

As a team, the Deacons hit .025 with 33 kills and 30 errors on 119 attempts.

Junior Natalie Mullikin was the lone Deacon with double-digit kills, finishing with 10. Mullikin also added four block assists.

Freshman Lauren McIntyre chipped in six kills and four block assists, while junior Ashley Homitz had three block assists.

Setters Dylan Faulkner and Kelsey Jones split time at the position. Jones dished out 16 assists, and Faulkner had 10.

Sophomore Abby Miller led Wake Forest with nine digs, while junior Jessica Furlong and freshman Megan Thornberry totaled eight each.

The Deacs are back in action tonight against host Houston at 8 p.m. EDT. The match will be Wake Forest's final non-conference contest of the season.
