The first set featured nine tie scores and two lead changes, but behind Sandra Adeleye's six kills, Clemson took the first set 25-20. With the score tied at 10, the Tigers went on a run, distancing themselves for the win in the first frame.

Hargreaves powered the Deacs with five kills in the third set with Beck chipping in four, but the Tigers weathered a late rally by Wake Forest, winning 25-21. The Deacs were down by as much as eight, but rallied back even though Clemson held match point for four-straight points. A kill from Alexa Rand eventually sealed the win for the Tigers.
Adeleye had 16 kills for Clemson (14-6/5-4 ACC). Kristin Faust added nine in the match.
Wake Forest (7-13/1-7 ACC) heads to Duke on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. match in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
