WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest junior middle blocker Andrea Beck has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District III volleyball team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Beck maintains a 3.97 GPA in biology at Wake Forest and is now a two-time recipient of the award after also earning the accolade last season.

By being named to the All-District team, Beck's name will now appear on the Academic All-America ballot.

A native of Winston-Salem, N.C. (Mt. Tabor), Beck missed the first 10 matches of the season due to an injury but has been a mainstay in the starting lineup since her return. In 15 starts, she has recorded 205 kills, which already ranks third on the team. She also leads the team with a .349 hitting percentage and is third on the team by averaging 0.68 blocks per set.

Beck will help lead Wake Forest during its final two home matches of the year on Friday and Saturday. The Demon Deacons will host Florida State on Friday at 7 p.m. and Miami on Saturday for Senior Night at 5 p.m.
